Plan
Today we’ll look at the book of Isaiah and focus on one verse
Let’s pray.
Prayer
Scripture
Isaiah 41:10
10So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Make sure to read it again a few times!
Analysis and Interpretation
Verse(s) / Sections | Analysis and Interpretation |
So do not fear, for I am with you; | This shows us that God and his Holy Spirit is constantly with us and in us, even though we may not feel it. |
do not be dismayed, for I am your God. | God specifically commands us not to be “dismayed” or stressed as he is a good and loving God who is in supreme control. If our God is king of kings and Lord of Lords, why fear? He is in full control. |
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. | Like a father, he promises to protect us and help us in difficult situations. He also assures us that he will “uphold” us, meaning he will defend us. What great words of encouragement! |
Summary
Overall, this verse tells us that God will “strengthen” and “uphold” us when we are in “fear” or are “dismayed”.
Reflection
Often, when I feel discouraged, I don’t feel his strength or his love for me. I don’t feel the Holy Spirit nor do I feel his grace. However, I do know that he has not abandoned me; that is the one thing we must never doubt. He will eventually embrace us again and say “You are my child, I love you so much.”
Prayer
Father God, thank you for today and forgiving our sins. If we are going through difficult times, help us to trust you, for you are perfect in all of your ways. Help us have a good day and live this day productively. Please bless us. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen
Have a spectacular day!!!!
